The Sanderling Resort & Spa located in Duck, NC is excited to host its annual Wedding Showcase. The event takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Tickets are just $15 per person. You don’t need to be staying at the Sanderling to enjoy this event.
Brides, grooms and bridal party members are invited to come browse local wedding vendors including caterers, photographers, DJ’s, officiants, florists and more! Local vendors will have sample ceremony set-ups on the beach to view. Equipment rental companies will have sample wedding tables all set with the décor and flowers. Local bakeries will have samples of their cakes to view and taste. Local bands will play to audition for you. The Wedding Showcase of 2015 has everything you need to get started on planning your Outer Banks Destination Wedding. Whether you are newly engaged planning a wedding for 2016 or almost finished with the planning, you will find this showcase to be exciting and informative.
While staying on the Outer Banks that weekend, why not take advantage of the opportunities. Eat lunch and dinner at local restaurants to try out their food for possible caterers. Stop by several vacation rental offices to see what they have to offer in finding houses for your guests and wedding party. Drive around the beach to find the perfect spot for your destination wedding. Some favorites are Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, The Sanderling Resort, Hilton Garden Inn Pier House or just the beach in front of a large oceanfront vacation rental home.
If you decide to rent a large vacation home on the oceanfront, be sure to check with the vacation rental company to be sure there are no special contracts to sign, additional insurance needed or rules against having a wedding at the house. Most companies will have specific homes that will allow you to hold your event in them. Some of the companies also have a wedding specialist on staff to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have about getting married on the Outer Banks.
Each Outer Banks town has many beautiful oceanfront homes to hold weddings and receptions. Be sure to drive around the area and not only find the home you like but also the beach are that you like. Each Outer Banks town has its own charm and character. Be sure the town you choose has the ambience you are searching for in the perfect wedding. Don’t forget to check with the town for any additional town permits or restrictions.
If you are within 60 days of your wedding date, be sure to stop by the Register of Deeds to get your marriage license. The office is located in Manteo, NC. Both bride and groom must be present. You will need a photo ID, Social Security card, and divorce papers with a judge’s signature, if applicable. The license is only $60 and good for 60 days.
