The Whalehead mansion is beautifully decorated in the tradition of the times with greenery\, Christmas trees\, music\, luscious food\, fruit\, candy and nuts. This special tour will feature a live performance on the original one-of-a-kind Steinway piano – custom designed for Mrs. Knight – along with a few traditional Christmas carols. Tour participants will explore this magnificent mansion including the newly designed Starkey room exhibit. Guests will also enjoy a holiday treat at the conclusion of the tour. Tours are from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays in November and December.

The Currituck County Department of Travel & Tourism invites you to Historic Corolla Park for our annual Independence Day Celebration! Activities begin at 5:00pm and conclude with the largest fireworks show on the Outer Banks at dusk. Admission is free and free parking is available at the park until our lots are full. Enjoy incredible live music\, fun family activities and more! Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase by local vendors. Please note that no coolers\, alcohol or on-street parking are permitted in the park. The Historic Corolla Park boat ramp and Air Up Station will be closed from 3pm on July 3rd until 7am July 5th.  No boat docking will be allowed.  Only leashed dogs are permitted.  However\, due to the noise from the fireworks\, dogs are not recommended at this event. \nParking:\nFree onsite parking for this event will begin at 3:00pm at Historic Corolla Park and will be available on a first come\, first served basis. With record crowds this summer on the Currituck Outer Banks and with many visitors expected to attend\, please note that our dedicated onsite parking spaces are expected to fill up early. The public is welcome to bring chairs\, and blankets to find a seat at Roanoke Island Festival Park\, and in the hours leading up to the display\, are invited to explore the heart of Manteo\, which will be decked out for the festivities including live music during the afternoon by famed local bands including The Crowd and Echoes of Heritage\, and the 208th Army Band will play patriotic songs in the evening at the outdoor pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park. The rain date is July 5th\, and events that correspond with the 4th of July festivities are subject to change.

DESCRIPTION:The 10th Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade of Costumes returns to Aviation Park in Kill Devil Hills. The free\, family friendly Halloween party is open to all ages\, starting at 2:00 pm. with trick or treating provided by local nonprofit organizations and area businesses around the frog pond at Aviation Park\, plus various decorated vehicles and props on display throughout the park for photos.
