The historic park provides a beautiful backdrop for the 4th of July Fireworks show on the Currituck Soundfront. \nCelebrate the 4th of July in Corolla with free live music and a spectacular fireworks show on the northern Outer Banks! The Currituck County Department of Travel & Tourism invites you to Historic Corolla Park for our annual Independence Day Celebration! Activities begin at 5:00pm and conclude with the largest fireworks show on the Outer Banks at dusk. Admission is free and free parking is available at the park until our lots are full. Enjoy incredible live music\, fun family activities and more! Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase by local vendors. Please note that no coolers\, alcohol or on-street parking are permitted in the park. The Historic Corolla Park boat ramp and Air Up Station will be closed from 3pm on July 3rd until 7am July 5th.  No boat docking will be allowed.  Only leashed dogs are permitted.  However\, due to the noise from the fireworks\, dogs are not recommended at this event. \nParking:\nFree onsite parking for this event will begin at 3:00pm at Historic Corolla Park and will be available on a first come\, first served basis. With record crowds this summer on the Currituck Outer Banks and with many visitors expected to attend\, please note that our dedicated onsite parking spaces are expected to fill up early. The public is welcome to bring chairs\, and blankets to find a seat at Roanoke Island Festival Park\, and in the hours leading up to the display\, are invited to explore the heart of Manteo\, which will be decked out for the festivities including live music. It is always an exciting time in the Town of Manteo at the Fourth of July Celebrations!  The streets downtown are full of children and their families\, neighbors and visitors alike joining in the festivities celebrating Independence Day.  Festivities begin at 3:00 PM and end at dusk with fireworks!

Family and friends can enjoy a variety of craft and food vendors\, music\, live entertainment\, lawn games\, and a great kid’s zone complete with fun rides\, obstacle course\, and activities.   Shop and dine at the many local shops and restaurants throughout the day and all weekend! \nBut wait\, there was MORE!  Family\, friends\, smiles\, giggles\, and wiggles will continue the next day on Sunday with a gospel concert at Cartwright Park on Sir Walter Raleigh Street.  Sip on old-fashioned lemonade\, relax and enjoy a wide array of music provided by our local churches and other groups.  It  is always quite a delight! \nDare Days is all about celebrating and connecting communities at the grass roots level in order to share our wonderful and diverse culture and rich history through this very special event .

The historic park provides a beautiful backdrop for the 4th of July Fireworks show on the Currituck Soundfront. \nCelebrate the 4th of July in Corolla with free live music and a spectacular fireworks show on the northern Outer Banks! The Currituck County Department of Travel & Tourism invites you to Historic Corolla Park for our annual Independence Day Celebration! Activities begin at 5:00pm and conclude with the largest fireworks show on the Outer Banks at dusk. Admission is free and free parking is available at the park until our lots are full. Enjoy incredible live music\, fun family activities and more! Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase by local vendors. Please note that no coolers\, alcohol or on-street parking are permitted in the park. The Historic Corolla Park boat ramp and Air Up Station will be closed from 3pm on July 3rd until 7am July 5th.  No boat docking will be allowed.  Only leashed dogs are permitted.  However\, due to the noise from the fireworks\, dogs are not recommended at this event. \nParking:\nFree onsite parking for this event will begin at 3:00pm at Historic Corolla Park and will be available on a first come\, first served basis. With record crowds this summer on the Currituck Outer Banks and with many visitors expected to attend\, please note that our dedicated onsite parking spaces are expected to fill up early. Parking is available throughout the town on a first-come\, first-serve basis\, and handicapped spaces are available as well – (until filled\, and proper permit is required.) The public is welcome to bring chairs\, and blankets to find a seat at Roanoke Island Festival Park\, and in the hours leading up to the display\, are invited to explore the heart of Manteo\, which will be decked out for the festivities including live music during the afternoon by famed local bands including The Crowd and Echoes of Heritage\, and the 208th Army Band will play patriotic songs in the evening at the outdoor pavilion at Roanoke Island Festival Park. The rain date is July 5th\, and events that correspond with the 4th of July festivities are subject to change.
