We will have gliders from Wills Wing and Moyes to demo.  Fun Fact: In 2022\, we had over 100 pilots attend this amazing event\, the most we have ever had!!!\n\nThe Hang Gliding Spectacular and Air Games is FREE TO THE PUBLIC FOR VIEWING with fun activities all day long.

DESCRIPTION:Kites with Lights is a fantastic light show at Jockey’s Ridge State Park! Spread the holiday cheer with Kitty Hawk Kites and a kite light show on Jockey’s Ridge!\nBe sure to make it out on Saturday\, November 29th from 4 – 7 PM for a light display like no other. Kites with Lights\, at Jockey’s Ridge State Park\, features large 19-to-30-foot kites decked out in the spirit of the holiday season! At 5 PM\, enjoy the lighting of the Jockey’s Ridge State Park Solar Christmas tree out on the dunes directly across from Jockey’s Ridge Crossing.  Warm beverages are available across the street at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing. All donations benefit the Friends of Jockey’s Ridge.

SUMMARY:Another Round 25K
DESCRIPTION:Come out to Jockey’s Ridge State Park in Nags Head and try to complete one 5K loop per hour for a total of five 5K loops! There will be a small portion of dune to cross. Go it alone or find a teammate! \n  \n\nHow It Works \nAre you endurance race curious? Or trail running curious? Both? This is a welcoming event for you! Run a 5K on the hour every hour between 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Individual and team options available! \nIndividuals: Can you complete all five loops? Run all 25K for the most bragging rights of the day. Awards are based on cumulative time. \nTeams of Two: Alternate 5Ks with one person doing three 5Ks and the other teammate doing two. Running only one 5K is not allowed. \nThe course is a 5k loop with a shared start/finish line. Participants must be ready at the start line at the top of every start hour. \nREGISTER \n\nTiming \nAll loops are chip timed. Results will be based on total cumulative time. \nParticipants must be able to finish each 5K loop in :55 minutes. Anyone who does not meet the time cutoff each hour will not be permitted to continue and only their finished laps will be listed in the results. \nThe first 5K will begin at 7:30 a.m. The last 5K will begin at 11:30 a.m. \n\nGeneral Info \nThe Another Round 25K will be occur at Jockey’s Ridge State Park. Event parking will be in the state park’s parking lot. Bathrooms will be available. Refueling between loops will be at the start/finish. You’re welcome to bring tents\, coolers\, grills and pets. Pets MUST be on a leash. A fun Festive area for spectators and participants will be available. Food vendors will be on the premises for a cost. Music for all! There is a swimming area and beach access. Spectators who are going to swim at the sound must park back in the sound area.
