Experience the Outer Banks’ Wild Horses
A tour with Corolla Outback Adventures gets you out along the coastline to an off-road area that has been used for touring for over 50 years. Enjoy the views from an open-air safari-like experience. Throughout this tour, you will take in beautiful scenery and a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat. Of course, the stars of the show are the Colonial Spanish Mustangs, which are frequently spotted along the shoreline or playing in the surf. Corolla Outback Adventures enjoys exclusive access to the Wild Horse Conservation Easement, an additional habitat area for the horses that was donated by the current owner’s family.
What began in the 1960s as a fishing, hunting, and sightseeing business has grown into what Corolla Outback Adventures is today. The owners and guides are able to provide a unique firsthand account on the changes the area has undergone and the rich stories and history this beautiful place holds. On a tour with Corolla Outback Adventures, be prepared to capture amazing photos of the wild horses and surrounding scenery, but also to make a few new friends and to be touched by personal accounts from the guides about these close-knit communities!
Planning Your Visit with Corolla Outback Adventures
Corolla Outback Adventures is located at 1150 Ocean Trail, Corolla. Tours are offered daily during winter months at 10:30am and 1pm. An additional tour is available at 3:30pm during the spring and fall, while summer months bring an additional 8am and 6pm tour. The cost is $50 for adults and $25 for children ages 12 and under.
