Labor Day is often seen as a milestone holiday marking the end of summer. It’s the perfect time of year to take a little time to celebrate with family and friends before fall activities and academics take over once again. This year, consider elevating the fun even further by taking a trip to the scenic Outer Banks of North Carolina. Here, you have every reason to bring out the flip-flops and make the most of comfortable temperatures, easy access to the sand, the area’s rich history just waiting to be discovered and outdoor adventures of all kinds too. From the incredible landscapes that make up the Outer Banks to the opportunities you’ll find to shop and dine in style, there is a long list of reasons to celebrate Labor Day 2024 in the Outer Banks.

Hosted by the OBX Running Company and The Outer Banks Brewing Station, this one-of-a-kind event invites participants to run the 1 mile route with brew stops built in along the way to enjoy. This year, the event will be hosted at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 1, 2024, and participation is limited to the first 100 sign ups so registering early online is highly recommended.
