78021665Kitty Hawk Kites will be starting off the 2013 season with the annual “Fly into Spring & Easter Eggstravaganza!” Come join the Kitty Hawk Kites crew March 29-30 at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing to celebrate the start of a new season on the Outer Banks. The Kite Festival will take place on both Friday and Saturday from 10am-4am at Jockey’s Ridge State Park, the largest living sand dune on the East Coast!

The Easter Eggstravaganza will take place at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing Shopping Center, across the street from the Kite Festival.  Join us both Friday and Saturday for Easter Egg Hunts starting at 11:00am.  The hunts will be broken down by age groups: 6 & Under and 7 & Up. Keep an eye out for the Golden Egg! Parents: Please remember to bring an Easter Basket for your child’s goodies! Don’t forget to stick around to get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny from 12:00-1:00pm.

There’s an Easter Eggstravaganza on March 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. Join the Easter Bunny for a traditional egg hunt in Currituck Heritage Park, 1100 Club Rd., Corolla. Enjoy lots of fun children’s activities such as Balloon Art, Face Painting, Egg & Spoon Races, Bean Bag Toss, and a Jellybean Counting Contest! See a fire truck and take a pony ride!  Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase, and admission and parking are free. 92861142SAIL Ministries is sponsoring the 24th Annual Easter Son-Rise Drama at Jockey’s Ridge State Park (Nags Head) on Sunday, March 31 from 6:40 to 8 a.m. Step back in time as portions of the Crucifixion story are re-enacted! Dress warmly, bring a flashlight, blanket or chair and gather on the “Ridge” to celebrate Resurrection Sunday. Parking is available at the Jockey’s Ridge State Park Entrance – milepost 12.
