Outer Banks Marathon Weekend CANCELLED
Important Marathon Update
Dear Participants,
We’re deeply sorry to share that the OBX Marathon Weekend (Fun Run, 5k, 8k, Half Marathon, Marathon, and Expo) November 8–9 2025 has been canceled due to the ongoing government shutdown.
The Outer Banks Marathon Weekend features many different options for events to race in. Not only is there the Towne Bank Marathon, but also the Half Marathon and the Surf Pediatrics Surf & Soar 5K, 8K and Fun Run. Participants will enjoy the beautiful natural scenery along the course as it twists and turns across the islands of the Outer Banks. There will also be plenty of family-friendly, exciting activities, and post-race celebrations will feature live music and entertainment, as well as excellent southern barbecue (free for all runners!) and an awesome beer garden for all those 21+.
