Kill Devil Hills 4th of July Fireworks Display 2026

Celebrate the Fourth of July 2026 in honor of America’s 250th! The 2026 fireworks display will be bigger than ever. Fireworks are launched from the end of a popular fishing pier in the center of Kill Devil Hill’s at Avalon Pier for a night of live music and fireworks. This family-friendly event is free and offers a prime spot to watch the fireworks over the ocean.

Residents and visitors are invited to visit one of our many beach accesses, where beach chairs can be set up to watch the spectacular show.

Fireworks have long been a national symbol of Independence Day, representing both celebration and remembrance, and it provides a shared civic experience that brings the community together as we publicly commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
