Standard Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected] prior to check-in. Guests are responsible for confirming that their cancellation request has been received.
Refunds are only available if the property is re-rented.
If the property is not re-rented, the guest remains responsible for the full amount due under the original reservation, including any unpaid rental balance. Canceling the reservation does not relieve the guest of their obligation to pay any remaining balance due under the rental agreement.
If the property is re-rented for the full original rental period at the full rental rate, the guest will receive a refund of prepaid rental payments, less a $300 cancellation service charge.
If the property is re-rented at a discounted rate or for only a portion of the original rental period, the refund will be reduced by the difference between the original reservation amount and the amount received from the replacement reservation. A $300 cancellation service charge will also apply.
Shoreline OBX reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reduce the rental rate in an effort to secure a replacement reservation.
Refunds are processed within 30 days after the replacement guest’s payment has cleared and the original rental period has occurred.
If Travel Insurance was purchased, the Travel Insurance premium is non-refundable.
Guests may also be entitled to reimbursement for fees paid to Shoreline OBX for third-party goods, services, or benefits that had not yet been paid to the third party at the time Shoreline OBX received the written cancellation request.
Flexible Cancellation Policy
A Flexible Cancellation Policy may be offered as an optional add-on during the booking process.
If you choose not to purchase the Flexible Cancellation Policy at the time of booking, you will have 36 hours from the time your reservation is booked to add this option.
After the 36-hour period has expired, the Flexible Cancellation Policy can no longer be added to the reservation, and the reservation will remain subject to Shoreline OBX’s Standard Cancellation Policy outlined above.
Guests who purchase the Flexible Cancellation Policy are subject to the separate terms, conditions, deadlines, and refund provisions of that policy.
