About the Outer Banks
The Outer Banks (also known as OBX) is made up of 100 miles of narrow barrier islands along the northeast coast of North Carolina. Each town has its own unique feel with miles of beautiful sandy beaches. The area is rich in history, has plentiful shopping and dining, and activities for the whole family.
From Kitty Hawk to Nags Head, you will see milepost markers. These are vertical green signs with white numbers placed every mile and half mile. The mileposts start at 0, which is where our office is located at the foot of the Wright Memorial Bridge and go all the way through milepost 72 on Hatteras Island. However, the main area where these are used is from Kitty Hawk through South Nags Head. Our rental homes are located between the towns of Corolla and South Nags Head.
