One of the region’s most anticipated events, the Outer Banks Seafood Festival takes place in Nags Head, North Carolina, each year in October. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. and the Opening Ceremony begins at 11:50 a.m. The schedule is loaded with great concerts from artists like The Main Event Band, The Jones Sisters, the Dr. Tom Band featuring Leslie Buck, and the No More Room Band.
Savory seafood will be provided throughout the day, courtesy of some of the best local restaurants. Wash down your meal with a delicious brew from outstanding local breweries, including the Outer Banks Brewing Station! Make sure you vote for the People’s Choice Award for “Best Local Dish!”
In addition to food and music, the festival also features cooking demos, cook-offs, and local educational, artisan, and non-profit vendors. Visit their booths, and learn more about Outer Banks culture and how you can be involved! A full list of vendors can be found online.
The festival offers plenty of fun for a budget-friendly price. Outer Banks Seafood Festival tickets are only $5! Children under 12 get in for free, and the ticket price includes shuttle transportation, entertainment, cooking demonstrations, and more. Food, beverages, and merchandise are available for purchase with SeaBucks. Each SeaBuck is equivalent to $1, and they can be purchased online or at the festival.
