What’s Happening Memorial Day Weekend

With Memorial Day Weekend upon us there’s lots to do in the area. Right outside the door of our Corolla NC vacation rentals are festivities commemorating Memorial Day and the many soldiers that have given their lives for their country. Here are just a few events taking place.

Corolla NC vacation rentalsA Beach Music Festival is being held on May 27, 2012 from11:00 a.m. to  6:00 p.m. at The Whalehead Club in Corolla. Gather up the family and join us for a day of great beach music! We’ll have the top performing beach music bands in the country performing — The Holiday Band, The Craig Woolard Band, and Band of Oz! Tickets are $20 each, $25 at the door. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets are available online at: www.shop.outerbankspresents.com.  Picnics and smaller coolers encouraged! There’s a Beer & Wine Festival on May 28, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at The Whalehead Club, Corolla, NC. Continue the good times of Memorial Day Weekend by tasting some of the most popular beers and wines of the Outer Banks! Tickets are $30 and can are available online at: www.shop.outerbankspresents.com. Enjoy a Free Concert from 7-10 p.m. as the sun goes down over Currituck Sound. Lil Ray Neal and returning performer Jackie Scott will be sure to keep you dancing through the night! Presented by the Currituck County Department of Travel and Tourism.
