About the Kitty Hawk Pier

Located near a number of Shoreline OBX rental homes, the Kitty Hawk Pier is perfect for fishermen and families alike. Although Hurricane Isabel destroyed a good portion of the pier in 2003, there have been multiple restorations getting the pier back to what it looked like before.

This public pier is located across from Awful Authors and is specifically popular with the locals. Other than fishing, Avalon Fishing Pier offers amazing views, tack rentals, bait, free parking, and much more. They are open from 5 am until 2 am and a fishing license is not required to fish on the pier.

About the Nags Head Fishing Pier

Open seasonally, from early spring until late fall, the Nags Head fishing pier is a great place to reel in a big one. This 1,000-foot pier not only offers great fishing, but also great views, family programs, activities for kids, and more! This pier is open 24-hours a day seasonally from June until September.
