MeetMyles Wood, Director of Business Development


Born and raised on the Outer Banks, Myles brings a lifetime of local knowledge and deep family ties to this community—connections that date back to the days of the Wright Brothers and to his family’s role in naming what would become the Town of Duck. After spending four years at Wake Forest University, where he graduated with honors in Psychology, he returned home to begin his career in property management as a data analyst. With more than 10 years of experience in property management and five years in new home construction, Myles understands both the day-to-day demands of caring for coastal properties and the long-term value of building and maintaining them the right way. He also holds a North Caroline real estate license, which is critical to the success of the home owners and guests Shoreline OBX represents by allowing him to navigate industry regulations, transactions, and client representation with professionalism and knowledge. As a local business owner, he knows firsthand what it takes to operate successfully in this market. Outside of work, he has spent the last 15 years touring regionally as a drummer, an experience that has shaped his discipline, adaptability, and strong work ethic. Together, these experiences inform his hands-on, detail-oriented approach to property management and his commitment to serving owners and guests with integrity and care.

Ashley Wood - Property Manager

MeetAshley Wood, Property Manager


With over 18 years of experience in the Property Management industry, Ashley has a great deal of knowledge regarding Outer Banks Vacation Rentals. She was born in Corolla, NC and raised on the beaches of Southern Shores and Kitty Hawk. In 2008, she began working summers as a reservationist. Ashley went on to attend school at the College of the Albemarle in Manteo, NC where she studied Business. She then moved to Wilmington, NC where she furthered her education in Business and Finance. She returned to the Outer Banks to acquire her own business, Island Photography. Her passion and desire to succeed in an industry she grew up in and loved, led her back to Property Management where she went on to earn her NC Real Estate Broker’s License. Ashley has learned all aspects of Property Management in her 15 years at Shoreline OBX, holding the positions of Reservationist, Guest and Owner Services, Housekeeping and Maintenance Liaison, Marketing Director, Assistant Rental Manager, and Property Manager. In her current role as Property Manager, Ashley works directly with home owners to determine rental income and creates a strategy to maximize rental weeks and profit. She prides herself on establishing long lasting personal relationships with owners and guests. Ashley works closely with the Shoreline OBX team to ensure all homes are well cared for and exceptional service is provided. Her Outer Banks Vacation Rental experience, positive attitude, and commitment to successful partnerships makes her loved and appreciated by homeowners. They know she always has their best interest in mind. Ashley is an active member of the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS®.
